The SETsquared Exeter team enjoyed a fantastic evening at the Tech South West Awards on Thursday the 10th of November, as they joined the company of over 300 representatives from the South West tech community to acknowledge its success. Celebrating in style under the wings of Concorde at Aerospace Bristol, you couldn’t ask for a better setting to recognise the achievements of those shortlisted and the winners on the night.
It feels as if we see more and more high-profile tech businesses folding, leaving a wave of job cuts and lost investment in their wake. With the cost-of-living crisis on the rise and investors tightening their belts, it’s understandable that another tech start-up failure would cause concern among founders. This is especially true in the South West, where investment has historically been more difficult to come by. However, there are steps you can take to build a strong, scalable business, despite the challenges in the environment at the moment.
SETsquared Exeter’s Discovery Room event on 12th October 2022 took a look at some of the opportunities and technologies in agriculture helping to improve productivity and sustainability for a changing climate and economy. The agriculture sector is of significant importance to the South West region and the theme for this half day event was “The future of farming: from the ground up”
The latest edition of SETsquared Exeter’s Discovery Room Series took place on the 14th September, this time in the English Riviera of Torbay. Held in collaboration with the Electronics and Photonics Innovation Centre in Paignton, this 2-hour event focused on quantum technologies and the potential advantages these technologies promise to deliver.
