Business Accelerator EiR - Samantha Mickleburgh

Sam has a background in large corporate business, and has launched a number of successful start-up companies herself. 

Her experience spans working for BP, BA and Thompson Reuters and playing a pivotal role in the turnaround of Axminster Carpets, as well as launching start-ups in fashion and retail. 

At SETsquared Exeter Sam offers one-to-one support for business founders on growth strategy and is adept at connecting clients to the wealth of knowledge and expertise available.

Business Accelerator EiR - Andrew Southall

Andrew has been recognised for creating a multi-million pound turnover business with a successful exit, understanding wealth creation and delivering shareholder value, developing strategy development and implementation, understanding the innovation challenge and profitable R&D. He is experienced in

operations management across multiple profit centres, working interface between the public and private sector and helping small firms start to grow and prosper. His specialties include: Business Coaching and Mentoring, Governance, Knowledge Transfer, Commercial R&D and Operations Management.

Business Accelerator EiR - Luke Lang

Luke is passionate about creating wonderful brands that help make the world a better place. Co-founder of Crowdcube. Chairperson at Plend. NED at Distil.ai. He joined SETsquared Exeter in September 2021 as an Entrepreneur in Residence.
Luke has been named by Debrett’s as one of Britain’s 500 most influential people and was selected as one of The Sunday Times ‘Maserati 100’ game-changing entrepreneurs. Luke knows first-hand, the highs and lows of starting and growing a business. His keen to work with SETsquared Exeter members from a range of sectors and services.

Student Start-up EiR - Alex Light

Alex Light is a serial entrepreneur and a builder of unrelenting positive impact. He has founded a number of start-ups, across a range of sectors, as well as working in sales, marketing, branding and Tech.

Alex has a passion for building companies, projects, and events that make things better and has a natural ability to bring communities together, forge connections and shine light on champions. He is currently busy planning a one-day summit (www.theasonesite.com) in Cornwall to bring together people and projects for world-changing impact.

Student Start-up EiR - Chris Howard

Chris is the CEO and Co-Founder of The Rattle - a global community supported by a network of facilities that helps makers of art and culture become company founders. Chris has been a prolific builder of projects and companies that push boundaries in entrepreneurship and the creative industries.

Chris cut his teeth in entrepreneurship at MIT in 2009, then followed several high-profile start-ups, one agency, and a short tenure as the Head Teaching Fellow of Harvard University. Chris is also the Fundraising Coach for MIT's Global Start-up Workshops, an educator in entrepreneurship at UCL and Hult International Business School, and a regular Entrepreneur in Residence at leading start-up accelerators including Techstars and MassChallenge.
