The team are here to help you tackle the challenges and to support you in overcoming the hurdles you face along the way. From your first idea and early concepts, we can work with you to develop a business model that clearly defines how your business will make money and who are your ideal clients. The team can help with business model design and development, market validation activity plus training and workshops to establish a firm foundation on which to build your business.
Incubation and Acceleration Manager
SETsquared members can benefit from bespoke packages of support led by our Incubation and Acceleration Manager. This can help you address day to day issues as well as Business Review Panels made up of experienced business people to add some strategic direction.
We provide a regular programme of training and workshop sessions to help you develop the knowledge and skills necessary to put in place the firm foundations on which a business can be grown.
The Science Park Centre provides a range of space options to complement our support services from hot-desks to laboratories and everything in-between. Our Incubation and Acceleration Manager can advise on the best spaces for you.
Access to professional services
SETsquared Exeter members can benefit from access to advice from legal, accounting and HR professionals. We can offer validated introductions to firms that can provide specialist support and advice.
If you are not in this environment, it can be hard to find the people you want to work with. By working with us you don’t need to go through the front door, we can pick up the phone to a Partner and they will meet with you.
We will also introduce you to more than one firm so you decide which one is the best fit for your business. You can then start to move your business forward confident that you have the right connections in place. These getting to know you conversations are often free.
We offer our members the opportunity to partner with experienced and seasoned professionals in a mentor capacity. For six months the support from your mentor comes at no additional cost to help you develop a valued relationship. If you want to continue the relationship after six months you can negotiate this with your mentor.
Mentors provide external expertise and a sounding board for the business critical decisions. A mentor is often a frontrunner to developing a former board within the company. You can access up to a day a month of their support across phone calls emails and meetings.
Entrepreneurs in Residence (EiRs)
Access business advice and coaching from our experienced Entrepreneurs in Residence (EiRs) tailored to the needs of your business. Our EiRs bring expertise and experience in starting and growing businesses across a range of sectors and industries. They will help you avoid common start-up pitfalls and can provide strategic advice and direction tailored to the needs of your fledgling business.
The EiRs can be accessed as necessary to assist with the start-up of your business.
